About “After Now”

After Now is a full service production company based in Washington DC and Richmond, VA. We are happy to service clients all across the continental United States and beyond. We specialize in music video production, branded content, documentary, and shot narrative films. Most importantly, we want to tell your story.

After Now is built by co-founders Jamie Mahon and Nick Lewis. Jamie and Nick met in film school and both went on to pursue careers in the industry. They have both worked in the field for upwards of 10 years, each with their own stories and backgrounds. Jamie worked in a camera rental house for 5 years working on his AC chops, eventually going full-time freelance as an AC and then as a Director of Photography. Nick started his post-college career as a freelance editor working for multiple different production companies in the DC area. He eventually went in-house at a reputable production company and worked there for several years as a “preditor” (make it known that we hate that phrase). Nick served several years there before moving to Richmond, VA and working at a new company in their in house video production team.

Jamie & Nick started After Now not out of necessity, but out of desire. They wanted to create a production company that cared more about the creative and the story, and less about the profit margin. There is a reason we got into this field, and it’s to tell stories.
